Newsflash - The groundhog is gone!  Let's all knock on wood.   Byron tries to be at least as smart as a groundhog.  Gomez has  decided to name his band the "Belligerent Groundhogs".  Seems  the critter has gotten into his brain..
Byron gives sage advice to Alicia ie learning how to read cards. 
Talk turns to tales from the road.  Surprise!, Byron has an  opinion about the goings-on in New Orleans.  
Food - par boiled & frozen corn in January, berries, cherries &  plums.  Prune cake, plum cake, guacamole & another pot of  coffee, big fat chanterelles in Thanksgiving stuffing,  windshield-dried apples, leather britches, sun dried tomatoes.

Babyfood Plum Cake:  2 cups all-purpose flour2 cups white sugar1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon baking soda1 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/2 teaspoon ground cloves1 cup vegetable oil3 eggs2 (4 ounce) jars plum baby food1 tablespoon red food coloring1 cup chopped pecans1 cup confectioners' sugar1 tablespoon lemon juice
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan.In a large bowl mix together the flour, sugar, salt, baking  powder, baking soda, cinnamon and cloves. Make a well in the  center and pour in the oil, eggs, baby food and red food  coloring. Mix well, then stir in chopped pecansPour batter into prepared pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 70  minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the  cake comes out clean. Remove cake from pan while still hot and  frost immediately.
To make the Frosting: In a small bowl combine 1 cup  confectioners sugar and 1 tablespoon lemon juice
